The Man who went up a mountain, then came back down again a little while later
Sir Edmund Hilary (as poorly depicted above...apologies), first man to conquer the dizzy heights of Mt. Everest died toady aged 88. I thought he was dead already, nevertheless he was officially the first man (along with his Sherpa; Tenzing Norgay) to set foot on the Everest's peak in 1953. Despite it being an amazing feat, I always felt that the role of Norgay (and that of all other Sherpas) was overlooked in the history books. Anyway, it's a perfectly reasonable excuse for me to post some Mountain themed toonage:
